Janosch Ulm

Growing up in the wild 1990s in Berlin-Mitte in the famous Arthouse „Tacheles“, Janosch Olek Ulrich spent a lot of time playing the drums as a child. As a son of a music teacher, he started his interest of music in a young age and founded his first band „Kool“ in elementary school, where he performed as a singer and drummer. Other projects followed, including the metal band „Starship Driveby“. Meanwhile he invented his alias „Janosch Ulm“ as a 16-year old teenager and found his passion for House and Electronic Music. From his first productions of Disco and House Music over dub-influenced house, his productions are until today not specific, versatile and genre-open. As well he made himself a name as a DJ in the Berlin Club Scene and performed in venues like Chalet Berlin, Stadtbad Wedding, Holi Fest Mexico, Secret OFF Festival, Fernwerk Berlin, Camp Tipsy Festival, Artlake Festival and some illegal underground raves in and around Berlin.

In 2014, Olek was signed by R.O.T as the youngest artist of the Berlin-based label. He released the year after in 2015 his first EP called „Off“. The second EP „Manikine“ was released 2 years after in 2017. In addition to his own productions, he released remixes for artists such as MIA, Tangowerk and Lulu Schmidt. Until further notice he is now part of the electro-punk band „B6BB0“ as a drummer.
